Beautiful weather and beautiful Slovenia

The weather is getting warmer and nature is calling you to visit it and explore it. Slovenia warmly welcomes every visitor with beautiful nature and kind people. Everywhere you go you will find something new – let this be thermal water in Radenci or Triglav National Park in all its beauty. Curious? Visit beautiful Slovenia.

So you like what you’re hearing and you already saw on Blog Say HI to Slovenia that the plane tickets to Slovenia aren’t that expensive? Well let’s look at some hostels then. In the centre of Krško you will find Hostel Krško, which can accommodate the young and the old, groups and lonely travellers. Nearby hills offer good cycling trails (the hostel can store your bike) and hiking trails. In the city, there’re museums, galleries, but some say that Krško is a cultural attraction itself. And of course, like everywhere else in Slovenia, you will find some tourist farm with lots of good food and company (and wine).

Another small city with good hostel is Kamnik. Hostel Pod Skalo is located in a town house, which hosts people since 18th century. There are 10 rooms available and each one is something special, but you will have to check that yourself. Nearby there is swimming pool, tennis court and beach volleyball court or you can go on a hike to the old castle with the Roman chapel.

Now let’s head to Ravne na Koroškem to hostel Punkl, a low energy consuming building with natural and bioclimatic characteristics of its surroundings. From here you can discover natural treasures of Koroška, its rich cultural treasures, visit the birth house of one of the greatest Slovenian’s writers Prežihov Voranc or simply hike, cycle or mountain climb in the region.

As you may know, Slovenia’s got it all – sea, lakes, mountains. And if you want to go to the sea, visit Hostel Panorama Portorož. You can find it on a hill over Portorož so you have a great starting point to also visit Piran or Beli Križ (White Cross). Slovenian coast is pretty small, so you also have a chance to visit other seaside cities like Izola, which is a city with a lot of charm or Koper with its port.

As I mentioned, Slovenia has it all. So go up to the mountains to Bohinj and stay at Youth Hostel Koča Suha, which was completely renovated in 2013. It is located in Triglav National Park so you can expect beautiful panorama, views and untouched nature. There’s a lot of activities here. You can go hiking, biking, rafting, canyoning, canoeing or just lay on the beach by the Lake Bohinj.

Let’s head to Prekmurje. There you will also find beautiful nature and lots of adventure. You can go rafting on Mura or go on a learning path or ride horses. Tourist farms are also very well developed here with a lot of interesting activities and good food. You can stay in hostel Radenci, where you will also find a spa, which became famous in 19th century. Relax and spoil yourself with a day in a spa.
